Chattanooga, TN (October 27, 2014) – EPB Fiber Optics is notifying its customers of a price adjustment on monthly residential television bills that will take effect in January 2015 and will range from an additional $2 to $9. Internet and phone prices remain the same.
“Because we’re committed to providing customers with exceptional value, we have held the line on a television rate increase for 18 months while channel content providers continue to dramatically increase their charges to us,” said Greg Eaves, executive vice president for EPB. “Unfortunately, like all television distributors, EPB cannot absorb these rapidly growing content costs without passing them along.”
EPB’s prices remain unchanged for premium channels, high-definition service, the sports package, additional equipment and repair services.
In addition, EPB will continue offering customers discounts for bundling video, voice and data services, and provide new customers with installation, a remote, and the first set top box at no charge.
“We believe our Fi TV service is the best value in Chattanooga,” Eaves said. “We provide excellent home entertainment options with a neighbor-to-neighbor approach to customer service, and our pricing is easy to understand and very competitive with no contracts.”
