Scam Alert: EPB is receiving reports that some customers are receiving scam robo calls demanding immediate payment for their electric/fiber bills to avoid disconnection. These calls may appear to come from an EPB number, but EPB never demands payment in an automated phone message. Instead, we simply ask customers to call back for more information.  Please disregard if you receive a robo call demanding that you press a button and make an immediate payment. EPB Service Commitments

When it comes to establishing temporary, underground or permanent electric service, EPB has developed a series of time commitments to meet builder and developer service needs, so you'll always know when to expect our work to be completed.

Permanent Service

Have inspection sticker on the meter

EPB activates electric service next business day

Underground Service

Clear path for digging between EPB facilities point and customer service point. The path must be to final grade. Building must be far enough along, with confidence to know where to run the service.

Electric service cable will be installed 8 business days from the time all builder action is complete

Temporary Service (If facilities are not available)

Call to schedule designer site visit. Have inspection sticker on the meter/service attachment.

Designer will call back to schedule site visit next business day. Designer will make service activation commitment based on site evaluation. Service will be activated by commitment date.

Have inspection sticker on the meter/service attachment. If pad mount installation, meter should be no more than 10 feet away from transformer.
