Update (9:00 PM): Following storms that swept through the Chattanooga area both on both Saturday and Sunday evening, EPB is working as quickly as possible to restore power to about 500 customers who continue to experience outages due to damage to the system. Over the last two days, the Smart Grid has prevented outages or auto-restored power to about 10,100 customers. EPB will continue working until all customers have power. Please check back for additional information. You may also refer to the Outage Map or call EPB Customer Service, 423-648-1EPB (1372).
EPB knows that renewable energy is important to our customers. That’s why we’re teaming up with Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) to construct Chattanooga’s first community solar project, Solar Share.
Community solar is like joining a community pool. Instead of excavating your yard and installing a pool on your own property, you join others in sharing the benefits and don’t have to worry about the maintenance, liability, and other hassles. That’s why participating in Solar Share is a great option for people who live in apartments and other situations where installing solar panels isn’t feasible.
In order to give customers a choice of which option best suits them, we are developing three different ways of participating in Solar Share:
We are currently finalizing details including pricing, and we will providing more information when we begin operating Solar Share this summer.
Be among the first to participate in Solar Share. Sign up for updates and you will receive an invitation with more details when the installation begins operating.
