What is involved in a Gig2.5 installation?

On the day of your installation, this is what you can expect:

  • If you require new ONT equipment in order to receive Gig2.5 internet speeds, that upgrade will be done prior to your installation date. No one needs to be home for that part, but we’ll knock on your door to let anyone who’s home know that we're there working.
  • If you’re taking advantage of Smart Net Plus Wi-Fi service at no additional charge, someone will need to be home for your Gig2.5 installation so that we can test your new network to ensure it’s delivering the best wireless internet coverage.
  • An EPB Tech Pro will determine the best location for your router to ensure Smart Net Plus delivers excellent connectivity to every corner of your home.
  • After your installation, EPB Tech Pros are available 24/7/365 for no-cost technical support, and will even back to your home for on-site assistance, including helping connect new devices.

Can I use my own router?

Since Smart Net Plus Wi-Fi is included at no extra charge, you get a professionally installed Wi-Fi 6 router with the Homepass app and lots of extra features with Gig2.5.
