IonQ has announced a $22 million partnership with EPB to establish Chattanooga, Tennessee, as the first quantum computing and networking hub in the U.S., positioning EPB as the world’s first utility company to commercially offer quantum computing, secure quantum networking, and application development. The collaboration will create the EPB Quantum Center, housing IonQ’s Forte Enterprise quantum computer and EPB’s existing quantum network, supported by IonQ.
