Following a powerful storm front Saturday morning and continuing high winds across the Chattanooga area, EPB is working as quickly as possible to restore power. To further accelerate restoration, EPB is bringing in additional crews for a total of about 580 utility workers repairing Chattanooga’s power system throughout Sunday. Unfortunately, the damage to power lines, utility poles and other infrastructure is substantial, so we expect to continue restoration efforts through the weekend.
