New MyEPB app gives customers more control

Expanded energy and fiber optics services are now available through MyEPB app

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (March 11, 2025) – The redesigned MyEPB app is rolling out to residential customers with expanded resources to manage their EPB energy and fiber optics services. Many customers already enjoy the ease and security of the app, which now offers more ways to report outages and access detailed information about their usage.

“At EPB, we start with ‘yes’ when it comes to personal service and technological possibilities,” said Beth Johnson, Director of Advertising & Customer Experience, EPB.
“The new MyEPB app incorporates feedback from customers to provide them more information and control over their accounts from the convenience of their mobile device.”

Redesigned dashboard includes EPB Fiber Optics

  • A more robust, user-friendly interface puts both EPB Energy and EPB Fiber Optics account information on the main dashboard.
  • Customers can access the most frequently used tasks with just a click, including bill pay, viewing bills and reporting outages.
  • Energy usage comparison is immediately visible upon opening the new app so customers can see how their current usage compares to the previous year.
  • Support is just a click away using the chat icon to initiate a text with EPB Customer Service teams.

Robust outage resources

  • Customers can now use the app to report fiber optics outages in addition to energy outages.
  • The updated outage map makes it easier to view outage information and offers a secondary way to report an outage.
  • For both energy and fiber optics services, customers can track outage repair progress in real time and get estimated times of restoration.

Understand energy usage better

  • Customers can view real-time energy usage for the current billing cycle, helping them track daily consumption and compare it to previous months or years.
  • Detailed insights on usage provide information about year-to-date, by bill cycle and by day.
  • Options include year-over-year usage comparisons, kWh vs. dollar comparisons and more.
  • Contact EPB Energy ProsSM directly through the app to schedule a phone call or an in-person EPB Home Energy Check-upSM.

Customize notifications

  • Customers now have expanded notification options, helping them stay informed and in control of their accounts, including High Usage Alerts, Bill Threshold, Outage & Restoration, Billing Notifications, Planned Maintenance and General Storm Readiness.
  • Customers can continue to update their profiles, service and account management settings right through the app.

“The best time to download the new MyEPB app is right now,” Johnson said. “You can familiarize yourself with the app by using the account management and energy tracking features, and you’ll have it ready when storms are in the forecast.”

Customers can log in to the new app using the same username and password they currently use for the existing app and MyEPB online portal.

How to get the new app:

  • Customers who previously downloaded the app and have their phone set to auto-update should already have access to the new app.
  • Customers who prefer to manually update apps will need to go into the app store to download the latest version.
  • The app is available for free download in the Apple App Store and Google Play.
