Spruce up your yard with a free tree!

Starting October 19, 2024

Free Tree ReLeaf

Get your free tree & see the benefits!

Give your lawn a fresh new addition during the Free Tree ReLeaf program. EPB has teamed up with Reflection Riding and the City of Chattanooga to offer new trees to households like yours. And best of all – it’s completely free. Mature trees provide cooling shade that can help lower your energy bills. Plus, trees help protect the environment by providing food and natural habitats for local wildlife, and reducing soil erosion, which decreases the volume of stormwater runoff.

A Partnership Between
Qualifications

Does everyone get a free tree?

If your home is located within the EPB service area, and you receive your electricity from EPB, then you qualify to receive a free tree for planting.* Reflection Riding staff will also verify your qualifications on site when you visit.

*Subject to availability, while supplies last

Tree Benefits Trees play a critical role in creating healthier, safer and more connected communities. Plus, they provide all kinds of tangible benefits as well!

Here’s how the program works:

  1. Visit Reflection Riding beginning Saturday, October 19 (located at 400 Garden Road, Chattanooga, TN 37419). Nursery hours are Thursday thru Saturday from 9am to 4pm. The nursery is also open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays by appointment only. Please email nursery@reflectionriding.org or call 423-497-6208 to make an appointment.
  2. Reflection Riding employees will verify your property address and recommend tree varieties based on your soil type and intended planting location.
  3. You can explore the nursery and choose your tree (just like a holiday tree farm!).
  4. Reflection Riding staff will answer any questions and help complete your Free Tree Releaf adoption!
