The company has kept its flagship brand and the same family ownership for more than a century, but in the past decade, Chattanooga Bakery has worked to produce the popular snack using less energy. Working with EPB's Energy Pros and capitalizing on a number of energy credits offered by the Tennessee Valley Authority, the bakery has turned to the sun and made a number of energy upgrades to cut its electricity bills by more than 20%.
