You can save video clips up to 1-hour in length to your vault. For example, if you wanted to save an entire day of recording, you would need to upload 24 separate 1-hour clips.
EPB tries to use existing customer infrastructure whenever possible and additional poles or structures are not commonly needed. However, if we run into an abnormal situation, our technician will discuss it with you in advance and make recommendations on options.

All of EPB’s equipment is housed in a state-of-art data center that is a “bunker” type building which was built specifically to withstand major disasters. In addition, EPB also has a geo-diverse location with full redundancy for all our phone services. Just like any other phone carrier, EPB does use third parties to complete calls all over the world. So, if another carrier experiences a disaster there could be issues completing calls outside of EPB’s calling area. Yes. EPB requires you to have an EPB Fiber Optics for Business internet connection to add this solution to your account. EPB offers two levels of internet (Standard and Professional) and an array of different speeds that will meet any size business needs.
It depends on several factors. EPB creates a separate internet connection that is locked down for security reasons, so your phone service does share your business internet connection. If the on-premises internet connection has issues due to your equipment failure, the phones would continue to work. However, if an internet outage is an external issue, then phone service may cease to work until the outage is resolved. The root of the problem determines if any phone outage will occur. EPB is available 24/7/365 to take any trouble calls and dispatch a technician to your business, if needed.
Once you have your Fi TV for Business account established for the first time, installing other devices is a matter of signing into the device, downloading the app, and connected to your Wi-Fi network. If you subscribe to an EPB Managed Wi-Fi service, we will be happy to assist you in installing another device at no charge. Most of the time we can assist you over the phone, but if we cannot resolve or help you over the phone, we will roll a truck. A $9 installation fee applies if we must set up the device onsite and you do not subscribe to a managed Wi-Fi service. However, there is no charge if we talk over the phone.
No. Although there are a lot of great network management features and data analytics gathering included with the WorkPass app, it’s not required for using Smart Net Plus for Business. We just need a valid email address in order to set up your network and communicate with you about your network in the future. EPB will send a highly knowledgeable technician to your business to perform what we call a site survey. During this time, we will discuss what your business video surveillance needs are, and how EPB Hosted Camera can meet those needs. We will discuss placement of cameras with you in advance to make sure you have optimal performance and visibility. After a site survey is complete, we will send you a final proposal that outlines the proposed solution and charges. You will need to accept this proposal via your electronic signature. Once the proposal is signed, your install date will be established. We can call in advance before coming out, if need be, in order to make sure it is still a good time for you and your business.
If your equipment malfunctions, and it cannot be repaired, we will replace it with new equipment at no additional cost.

EPB will install the handset of the facility’s choosing within the customer’s room. If new wiring is needed, there is a one-time wiring charge. However, many times we can use a facility’s existing wiring. We will also provide technical support for the phone, phone features, and continued support for any future questions or issues. This is all included in one monthly cost billed directly to the facility.
By default, customers receive a simplified bill, showing the amount of electricity used and amount of payment they owe. However, we also offer a detailed bill with a breakdown of costs, including TVA’s current adjustment for the cost of fuel to generate energy.

If a resident moves to another room, EPB can come out and relocate their number. If at any time you need to disconnect a resident's phone, just call EPB and we can remove the charge and plan to have the equipment returned. If you approve, a resident may take their Hosted Phone for Seniors number with them to another carrier or facility.

EPB will replace any non-working cameras, but theft or vandalization of EPB equipment would be the sole responsibility of the customer. However, if a camera is vandalized or stolen, since the camera is always recording, you should be able to get a video of the event up to when the camera goes offline. EPB will bill the customer for the unreturned rate of the cameras, and then we can re-install new ones, if you like. Most businesses carry insurance, and these types of instances are most often covered. However, talk with your insurance company to get specifics on what is covered under your policy.
