Do I have to be an EPB customer to qualify for a Home Uplift?

Yes, only EPB customers can receive a Home Uplift through EPB. However, TVA does partner with other utilities purchase their electricity, so if you purchase your power through a nearby utility, check their website to see if they offer free energy improvements.

Your security deposit – plus interest – may be refunded upon your request after 12 months of continuous service and a good payment record on residential accounts. If you disconnect your service before your deposit is refunded, the full amount of the deposit and any accrued interest will be applied toward your final bill. Any amount remaining will be refunded to you.

Yes. Just download the FREE MyEPB app from the app store to any mobile device. The app lets you see your current usage and usage history so you can better anticipate energy costs. You can even pay your Energy and Fiber Optics bills conveniently and securely through the app. Plus, you can see outages in your area and report an outage at your address. Then you can enable the MyEPB app to send you notifications of outage restoration updates and alerts when your restoration is complete.

The waitlist for your FREE Home Energy Checkup, which is the first step in the process, varies from weeks to several months or more. The EPB Energy Pro who contacts you will offer you the earliest available appointment for the evaluation. If your home meets the program’s qualifications, we’ll offer you a list of upgrade recommendations. Once you select your improvements, we’ll coordinate the upgrades and estimate the implementation timelines. We’ll then work with your schedule to complete them as quickly as possible.
